Had a weather window open up!  Checked at work and got the day off.  Gathered a crew and it was Tuna Wensday!
Arrived at the bait dock in Illwaco at 5:30am and took on $60 worth of anchoives.  It was dark and foggy and the only
place "Just Keep Fishing" had ever touched mother earth.  To  top it off there were two boats that wanted to follow
me out!   Well with all eyes trained ahead looking for channel marker bouys we wondered our way out to the main
channel.  We were most of the way across the Columbia river bar before it got light enough to bump the speed up to
cruise.  Before we hit the good blue water we came across some jumpers and deployed some chum and it was fish
on.  We caught about ten fish in this green water and then headed west and south again looking for the blue water.
Our next stop was for about an hour an a half.  We had fish all over the deck of the boat.  There just was not time to
get them stowed away.  At one point I counted 14 tuna on the deck.  During that time there was not a time where
there were not at least one fish hooked up!  We had 31 fish on the boat and it was time to start cleaning up the mess.
I headed in slowly while the crew started cleaning the fish.  We still had a few left when we got back to the dock.  This
was the best day of tuna fishing on my boat so far.  A new record for "Just Keep Fishing."
